About

Ria's love affair with photography started in college where she took up an elective in photography. Though she chose a different career path after college, she wasn't able to shake off her desire to hold a camera and shoot. It wasn't until early 2010 that she was able to have more time to shoot using her husband's DSLR. She began to self-study until photography became her passion. She also enrolled in different workshops to learn from the best in the industry. For her, photography is her way of showing other people the beauty of God's creation and love through moments shared and made by the people she photographs. She sees it as a tool to celebrate life, love and relationships.

Graceworks Photography is the brainchild of husband and wife, Jay and Ria Bantugan. Their love for photography and graphic design is what gave birth to their vision of sharing their God-given talent to everyone.

A perfectionist in his own terms, JR would always meticulously work on his design projects whether it's a simple layout or a complicated one. Like his wife, he also spent time enhancing his craft by studying on his own. But it's not that difficult for him because aside from his natural ability to create art, it's also his passion. Starting at a young age, he would draw endlessly and give them out to his classmates. Now that he and his wife have their own business, he aims to continue creating art that will glorify God from whom he gets his inspiration. His wife considers him the backbone of the business as he is also in-charge of the marketing and business side of Grace Works Photography aside from being the man in charge of design and layout.
